Jen inched her way to the yoga mat via a multitude of fitness explorations including group fitness, personal training, and Pilates. Always passionate and ready to dive into new experiences, Jen was ready to lessen high impact activities like distance running and roller derby in order to increase more healing activities. Chronic pain and fatigue led her to the Pilates studio, where she was also encouraged to learn more about yoga. Always eager to learn, she characteristically entered into the Boundless Yoga Teacher Training, finishing as a 200 RYT in May 2020.
Jen’s passion for fitness arose from the empowerment she found in her physical training. In her search for a lifelong practice that would help to increase strength and flexibility while continuously offering her room for growth, Jen has settled into a regular Ashtanga practice that she hopes to share with others at all levels of yoga. It is her belief that physical movement of some sort is available to every body and she strives to show modifications for all levels of experience. Joy of movement and curiosity to see just what our bodies are capable of drives Jen in her personal practice as well as her teaching style. Witnessing students’ progressions is her favorite teaching experience.
